I use tactical.

I drop shot alot and tactical is the best to use for that.

Only recently started using the Tactical layout myself. Alike a previous post I'm forever swinging my knife when really the bullets should coming out (must be a little heavy handed) so know I just Crouch, Get Back Up, Crouch, Lie Down, Get Back Up etc rather than swooping at nothing ha ha.

Tactical for me is mainly used when using an Assault weapon & I'm still getting used to it with the Snipers, its a must for most players I'd of thought.
Default has got to be used when you've got the the Nike running shoes on whilst carrying a tactical knife or you just start bumping into people (well I do after Crouch, Get Back Up etc).

well, when you do get used to tactical, you'll find that you don't need to knife as much, you can just drop to the floor before they shoot you right under their body, and just shoot for their balls.

I would've thought that you'd use tactical layout with smg's. Sniping doesn't work as well with tactical as it's harder to do drop shots with it.

Just tried that out.... Did not work for me at all. But I liked how it was easier to lay down using the R3 than the circle button. But I turned into a complete mentally deformed at one point and kept trying to press the circle button to reload. Don't have a clue what all that was about.

haha i always do this, but with other games

when i play cod after some U2, i always throw a grenade when i wanna reload!

well, if you think that you can't improve your game anymore, then try using tactical, because it provides a whole new level improvement.

On CoD4, I constantly do dropshots in snd, and it's near to impossible for enemies to kill me that quick because they're not quick enough to aim downwards.

i rarely use the sights, just blindfire all the time

II have to aim down the sights... otherwise I go into panick mode...

I might try tactical again later, I like what Harvster said about possible improvement lol

always down the sights, even if they're in knife distance
Never change from default in any game, cba to start now

I use tactical for smgs, and default for assault rifles.
I find doing drop shots with assault rifles hard simply as I only use the famas.
