the main problem is how linear it is
10 was linear but felt like you were still deciding where to go
and Versus 13 sounds better
in Versus there will be a world map and sqaure right now are working on an airship for the world map
apart from that 13 had a kick ass story but nothing else apart from cieth stone missions

shitest story apart from 7 if i get it right

all turn into like people with a focus, they either fail or suceed, and OHMYGOD two of them were already these things and have a short amount of time to complete the focus before they die, time is running out!

the story is much deeper than that
FF stories always start off with one thing then get more complicated and change
so go play the full game before deciding

the story has no depth

have you played into the 30-50hour mark
no then dont say thats when the story really unfolds

last thing i did was the chocobo theme park

you need to get to pulse to really see the story unfold

So, you have to play 30 hours before the game gets good? pff feck that, If i don't like a game within half an hour i won't play it

I don't think its that bad compared to previous stories, its different and I think that makes it stand out. It's not your standard 'save the world' thing where everyone starts off with superhero powers. They were regular people leading quite normal lives until the purge, theres character development and theres development in how characters relate to each other. you can understand why certain characters say and do certain stuff because it's similar to regular human behaviour.

I do think theres certainly some annoying characters (or rather, voice acting) in the game but the gameplay and story makes up for it. IMO, square made quite a bold move with 13 and how different it is from the older ff but it's also quite refreshing.

My little sister is into it... she played 5hrs straight today 0.0 which was annoying - me, her and my bf are like sharing this one ps3 - they want to play ff and i want to play bioshock >.< theres not enough hours in the day to share! lol

I'm getting pretty bored of the stone missions now, too much running back and forth. I've done 32 of them, might save the rest for after chapter 13. I only have 400k cp saved for level 9 of the crystarium, not sure how far that will get me.

After beating barthanulus or w/e the chapter 11 boss was i had 750k cp. maxed out 2 and a half roles for each character on level 9 crystarium. Still got about half of the stone missions to do but yeah, dunno if i'll bother or not. although i do wanna max all the roles for the trophies.
