Afternoon all, just thought i would ask a few questions about MW2 as i am a total noob on it. Classes: Whats the best class combination for someone who spends most of his time running about like an arse. Currently i have a M4A1 (for mastery purposes), machine pistol, frags, flashes, marathon pro, ninja pro/commando pro, hardline pro.. i dont have all the perks unlocked yet.. <sadface> Prestige: What is it? i guess you get it at level 70? Is it worth having? CO-OP: Is this worth it? I have done a couple of levels with my brother but the delta and echo ones are bollock hard.. I am not bothered about the Platinum trophy as i never expect to do the pit sub 30secs. Multiplayer: I have only played TDM so far apart from the few times with you guys. Whats a good one to play and do you have any tips. Maps: I was kindly shown all the secret bits on higrise by ytguy.. i guess there are similar bits on all maps.. can someone show them tome? Cheers

my runner class is: P90-silencer shotgun - silenced marathon pro - unlimited run/get over obstacles faster lightweight pro - lighter, faster/aim faster after running ninja pro - undetectable by heartbeat sensors / silent footsteps this is really good class to start out in every match first, and if your good enough, you can keep all the enemies killstreaks under 3, so that they never get UAV and are able to see you on the map. apart from that, your basically a ninja when the other team has no uav. you just run and knife, plus the p90 reloads so quick, and has so much ammo per clip. you could go for ump instead, but there's just not enough ammo to last. I'm starting to get sick of mw2 now - the spawn points are absolutely bollocks. you'd think that if the maps were so big, you'd spawn somewhere spacious and out of enemy fire, but in one game today on Afghan, i got killed 4x consecutively by spawning in practically the same place i died, such bollox.

lol, thanks for the tips.. Yeh the spawn points are crap. Only beaten in lameness by the double shotgun. Is there a super-powerful kill-everyone shotgun with FMJ that you get when you reach a certain level because i keep getting whomped by those with some nugget running around not even aiming.

the last shotgun - the model 18's. Those with akimbo, and sleight of hand. Btw fmj does not actually increase your damage against enemies, it only allows bullet penetration through walls and whatever. Yeah so with model 18's, akimbo and sleight of hand, the trick is to shoot with one or the other and constantly reload, as only one will reload allowing you continuously shoot and kill. it's pretty fun for cqc.

i would recommend with different game modes that you experiment to see what you would like, it's just that if you do only team deathmatch, like forever, you won't be prepared for other game modes with objectives except domination....oh, lol try domination, good for getting kills lol it's also good that you may decide to stick with your m4a1, the more you use a gun, the better you have become with with it...i think that's common sense but anyway... At prestige, you reset your rank back to 1, but you get a new symbol, im not sure if there are any other bonuses to come with it though...

Cheers Classes - If you run around, it's worth to have Smg (UMP, MP5K, Vector, P90 Uzi) Shotgun Marathon/sleight of hand (as a run n gunner your average lifespan is not going to = long lives so scavenger is not needed) Stopping power/lightweigh/cold blooded (stopping power helps you not get toally destroyed from in front, lightweight will speed you up and cold blooded protects you from UAVs if you're sprinting) Commando/ninja/sitrep (commando for long range knife kills, ninja for stealth, sitrep to not be claymored to death) killstreaks - uav care package predator, as you aint gonna live long at all prestige - do it if you want more classes/titles/emblams , don't do it if you think levelling is boring and you wanna do challenges Co-op, i'll di ut with you but it's not worth it tbh MP - try S+D for one life action, sabo for loadsa kills and HQ for tactical defense Maps - not really highrise is all there is

basically once you get good, you won't feel the urge to do team deathmatch. From then on you can do more challenging modes such as Search & Destroy, which are quite adrenaline pumping, especially when your the last man standing. for team death match also though: UAV, Helicopter, Chopper gunner. that's if your good enough. I got my 42 killstreak using that and my runner class on Favela in a team deathmatch.

*S&D is only good when you work as a team in a game. The teams always win against other random people. It's so frustrating playing with random people in S&D because there's never any co-operation. I'd also say prestige if you want extra weapon class slots, which can be useful. and don't go for a nuke, because the chances of you getting it are slim. only go for it if your playing teamdeath match with teammates and you've agreed that your going to aim for a nuke in that game. apart from that, getting really pissed off with all the campers in this game!!!!

I am slowly getting better with TDM.. i have been top scorer a few times but due to my noobish ways i can only rack up a 6 ish killstreak and sniping is just not my cup of tea in mw2...I take my FPS roots from railgun in Q3 when i owned it up on the PC. Sabotage is quite fun,.... I played it a bit with you guys last night although i think i was the only one who actually got the bomb and ran with it. Everyone else just sat there and gunned me down which got a bit annoying. Still i will learn to be a team player at some point... maybe i need a mic to get with the programme. Gonna switch back to the scar after i have mastered the m4a1 with extra magazines.

yeah, I think from now on though, if we agree on getting kills before the match of a sabotage game, then that would be better, because half the time i don't know what we're trying to do, plant or get kills. Rizz - I wouldn't recommend using a runner class on tdm, because you have to be pretty experienced to rack up kills. Assault rifles are always the best i think. You are allowed to camp a little remember, especially if your getting kills, and especially that the tactics in mw2 have changed so much, it's hard to rush now.

Ok, maybe im not a total noob... i just struggle with the ps3 controller and some of the more "grassy" maps.. I am ok on sub-base and highrise etc... Played some domination last night.. i see your point. Lots of kills, lots of points for captures.. lots of quick leveling. Much more fun too. Get a bit of danger close on favela and its all good in the hood...

Has anyone noticed an increase in lag after the last couple of updates? I used to be able to get 30 kills per match easily, but now i'm struggling to get 20 and i keep getting nailed by those invisible bullets, you know the ones, you see a guy he sees you, you fire first (or so you thought) and you get killed, looking at his killcam he was firing first WTF! Also the bullets that fire around corners, again, you pop out of a corner and pop back only for someone to shoot and kill you when you're hidden around the corner!
