yeah, you can preorder the new macbook pros.
Mac's aren't good for gaming, because they're not compatible for most of the games.
But Mac's are the best for like photography, composing music and stuff, because it has the best software to do it.
I think Mac's are well priced now, better than they used to be. Notebooks with the same spec with Macbook pro cost around the same price. Like all intel i5 and i7 laptops atm cost the same.

macs are only good for specialised purposes
as a general comp they're pointless

yes the iPad is really just a huge iPod. Nothing more to it.
And if you want to buy the 3G version, there's an extra months delay on it before coming to UK, and it costs as much as an iPhone.

...so Apple just wasted a lot of money, but tried to make money in the process... why couldn't they predict that not many people would like it?

yeah, all the fanboys are still going to buy it, apple have got nothing to worry about. It is a decent bit of kit still. OLED screen. iTunes sized iPod etc.

I've got a mate who can't wait for it. The dumb ass.
He's the kind of person who sits in the pub with us pissing around on his iphone and trying to impress us with the lighter which stays upright when he tilts the screen instead of actually talking to people.
