it's just nice to save £13 pounds on a game. That is quite a big discount though for a brand new game, seeing as ps3 games stay at full price for quite a long time

if this doesn't have dedicated servers, im prob not buying. my connection is so bad at times that its just pointless playing. insanity that a game this big doesn't have dedicated servers.

have you tried looking into what connection speed you have? latency? things of that nature this is a good site to check it out SpeedTest.Netwhat router are you running on? are the proper ports open? there are a few things to check out

@ poppa. ive never actually tested my connection but i know its poor. but i literally have no lag whatsoever in any other games, it is only cod. but then cod is virtually my only game without dedicated servers, so it seems that must be the reason i lag? ive no idea about my setup, all i know is i use a netgear router and a 50ft ethernet lol

it is sounding to me it might be a port issue if its only cod games if you know the model of your router, it might be found on this list on the following link once you click on your model, a list of games comes up and you can choose cod4,or 5 it will then tell you which ports to open EL Linkoalso, i highly recommend using a static (user defined ip address for the ps3) this way you can direct internet traffic, with opened ports, to the specific ip address of the ps3 that will cut out a middle man so to speak and reduce latency (lag time) a bit thirdly, a 50ft cable will not effect it at all in a computer ethernet cable, the signal is all digital in a digital signal, the signal does not degrade, the data either gets there or it does not a longer cable is more susceptible to interference, which in turn could slow data speed or increase errors but with error control features in routers and such, this is not so much of a problem D-ly, on average, high speed internet speeds at home are around 1 mega bits, your home routers have a capacity up to 50 mega bits it will never be a problem as far as a router bottlenecking TECHNICAL INFO FOR THOSE WHO WANT IT Ports needed to be forwarded in Waw to your static ip address PS3 80,443,3074,3075,3478,3479,5223 Ports needed to be forwarded in MW1 to your static ip address PS3 28960 As you can see how WaW is more screwy than the average bear. One final note, I opened my ports and everyone joins my group easily and usually owa begs me to host. LOL
